So how vas Las Vegas? Amazing! I have never seen anything similar. I have to anticipate that my story will not be totally complete because as we know what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but I am happy to share with everyone the parts that can be published :P So our story started on Thursday afternoon, when after classes we hopped into ther car and headed East to the city of gambling and striptease. Unfortunately our GPS was playing a bad joke with us and instead of the highway, it led us through small streets saying that there is too much traffic on the highway and we realized only after an hour that we are on the wrong road. Until we realized the problem and changed the settings of this amazing machine we had already lost 2 hours. :-( So finally we arrived to Las Vegas at around 11 pm, where we found our hotel immediately, checked in and headed to the night. Our way led us first to the club named Pure, where we were dancing on the top of the roof and we arrived home at around 4 am. The next day we went sightseeing, to a dayclub with a pool party, to shopping and walking. At around 8 pm we dressed up and threw ourselves into the nightlife.

As we were in Vegas, we had to try gambling, so our way led us to the casino of the hotel Planet Hollywood. With some other exchange students we sat to a blackjack table and started to play. I understood the rules quite quickly and I won the first two round. This way my original 15 dollar became 45 but unfortunately in the next two rounds I lost them quickly. What really surprised me that I didn't even realize that I'm losing 15 bucks as all the others made their bet, I did that too and I did not walk away with the 45 dollars thinking that 'well, everyone is playing, I should keep going too'. I saw only a few chips and I didn't even think that they represent real value. Now I understand how people are able to lose tens of thousands of dollars as the only thing you see is that the chips move to the other side of the table but you don't feel that you are losing real money just when you suddenly realize that how many things you could have bought from that money. It was a bit shocking to experience this but I'm really glad I tried.

Our next stop was the club of the Venetian, Tao, to where we got into quite quickly with the help of some coupons and the girls were also invited to a drink by the club. The place was furnished amazingly, everything was red colored and real girls were having a bath in bathtubs filled with water and rose petals as a decoration and I haven't mentioned the ladies who were dancing in shopwindows. The place was really crowded and the music was not really good either so with other 3 girls we went to the club at the opposite side of the street, the name of which was 1 Oak. We were on the guest list also here so we were inside in seconds. The style of this place was more modern, it was furnished with beautiful black furniture. Its size was also bigger so we there was more space and the dj was also playing much better music so we had a lot of fun. At around 1 my friends decided to go home so I returned to Tao, where fortunately there were already less people and the music was also cool so we were partying there until 4.

The day after we headed to Grand Canyon. During our way we stopped at a gas station where Laci and Lucas paid to shoot with real automatic guns. It was scary to see what these killing machines are capable of but the pics we made with them are actually really cool. After this small bypass we stopped at Hoover dam and finally at a ranch where we drank real beer of Arizona. Arriving to the Skywalk the view was breathtaking: underneath, at a depth of 12OO m the Colorado was craving its way through the rock and at the place named Eagle Point we could admire the rock which had a shape of ah eagle and after which the place was actually named. It was creepy looking down without being protected by any type of fence but it was amazing. Finally, we decided not to spend the night there and drove all way back to LA.

Szóval milyen is volt Las Vegas? Elképesztő! Sosem láttam még ehhez hasonlót! Előre kell bocsátanom, hogy irományom a teljesség igényét nélkülözi, mert mint tudjuk ami Vegasban történik, az ott is marad, de a publikus részleteket szívesen megosztom mindenkivel :P Tehát történetünk csütörtök délután kezdődött, mikor órák után bepattantunk a kocsiba és keletnek indultunk a szerencsejáték és a sztriptíz városába. Sajnos a GPS-ünk rossz tréfát űzött velünk és az autópálya helyett random kis utakon vezetett minket mondván, hogy az autópályán nagy a forgalom, így csak egy óra után vettük észre, hogy már rég a gyorsforgalmi úton kellene lennünk. Mire észbe kaptunk és megváltoztattuk a csodás masina beállításait, már kb 2 órát elvesztettünk :-( Így végül 11 körül gurultunk be Las Vegasba, ahol azonnal megtaláltuk szállásunkat, becsekkoltunk és nekiindultunk az éjszakának. Utunk először a Pure nevű szórakozóhelyre vezetett, ahol a háztetőn táncoltunk egy nagyot, majd 4 körül nyugovóra tértünk. Másnap várost néztünk, medencés buliban voltunk, vásárolgattunk, sétáltunk majd este 8 körül kicsíptük magunkat és belevetettük magunkat az éjszakai életbe.

Ha már Vegasban voltunk, ki kellett próbálnunk a szerencsejátékokat, így első utunk a Planet Hollywood szálloda kaszinójába vezetett. Néhány cserediákkal leültünk egy black jack asztalhoz és elkezdtünk játszani. A szabályokat elég gyorsan megértettem, nyertem is két kört, így az eredetileg feltett 15 dollárom 45-re duzzadt, de sajnos további két kör alatt gyorsan el is vesztettem mind. Ami nagyon meglepett, hogy fel sem fogtam, hogy eljátszom 15 dollárt, hiszen ahogy mások megtették tétjeiket, én is megtettem és nem sétáltam el a 45 dollárral, mondván mindenki játszik, én is folytatom. Csak pár zsetont láttam magam előtt, bele sem gondoltam, hogy e mögött igazi érték is van. Most már értem, hogy hogy képesek az emberek több tízezreket eljátszani, hiszen csak annyit látsz, hogy pár műanyag zseton átvándorol az asztal másik oldalára, de nem érzed a dolog jelentőségét, csak mikor rájössz, hogy hoppá, ebből a pénzből mennyi mindent vehettem volna. Kicsit sokkoló érzés volt ezt megtapasztalni de örülök, hogy kipróbáltam.

Következő állomásunk a Venetian szálloda klubjába, a Tao-ba vezetett, ahova szerencsére kuponok segítségével viszonylag gyorsan bejutottunk és még egy ingyen italra is a hely vendégei voltak a lányok. A klub gyönyörűen volt berendezve, minden vörös színű volt, igazi lányok fürödtek igazi rózsaszirmokkal teleszórt vízzel teli kádakban dekoráció gyanánt, és akkor még a két kirakatban táncoló hölgyről még nem is tettem említést. Óriási tömeg volt és a zene sem volt az igazi, így 3 másik lánnyal átmentünk a szemközti klubba, melynek a neve 1 Oak volt. Itt is rajta voltunk a vendéglistán, szóval pillanatok alatt bent voltunk. Ennek a helynek a stílusa modernebb volt, gyönyörű fekete bútorzat jellemezte. Mérete is nagyobb volt, nem nyomorogtunk annyira és a dj is sokkal jobb zenét játszott, úgyhogy nagyon jól szórakoztunk. 1 körül barátnőim úgy gondolták, hogy ők hazamennének, úgyhogy visszatértem a Tao-ba, ahol szerencsére már nem volt akkora a tömeg, és a zene is király volt, úgyhogy ott buliztunk 4-ig.

Másnap délben a Grand Canyon felé vettük az irányt. Út közben megálltunk egy benzinkúton, ahol Laci és Lucas befizették magukat, hogy lőhessenek igazi gépfegyverekkel. Elég félelmetes volt látni, hogy mire képesek ezek a modern, automata gyilkológépek élőben, de a képek, amiket csináltunk nagyon jók lettek. Ezen kis kitérő után megálltunk még a Hoover gátnál, végül pedig egy farmon, ahol igazi Arizónai sört ittunk. A Skywalk nevű kilátóhoz érve lélegzetelállító látvány fogadott minket: alattunk ezerkétszáz méter mélyen hömpölygött a Colorado és az Eagle Point nevezetű helyen megcsodálhattuk a névadó, sast formázó szikacsodát. Félelmetes volt mindenféle kerítés nélkül lenézni, csodálatos és egyben hátborzongató látványt nyújtott a táj. Végül úgy döntöttünk, hogy nem maradunk éjszakára és visszavezettünk Los Angelesbe.
